Description

Combination of an eco-designed ingredient derived from Maca and a pro-liposome that contains classic anti-cellulitic extracts and a tripeptide that accelerate the effectiveness of the rest of the components in combating all of the factors that lead to cellulite and unsightly curves.

Contains: Maca (firming, toning and draining effect), Caffeine (vasoconstrictor, antioxidant and diuretic), Soy Lecithin (moisturizing and soothing), Ruscus (venotonic and anti-inflammatory), Chondrus Crispus (stimulating and detoxifying), Carnitine (lipolytic) and Ivy Extract (anti-cellulite).

Our line of TUNE IT boosters are products that do not contain emulsifiers; just pure active principles that are not always homogeneous. Therefore, sometimes they might have 2 colors, present micro-particles, or look biphasic (part water – part oil).

They are formulated like this for one reason: these boosters enhance the functions of the serums and moisturizers in our Urban and Recovery lines, thus we don’t add emulsifiers to these products since they are meant to be combined and not used alone. In order to be more efficient, they must be mixed with these products to offer that extra “boost” that targets individual needs.

Composition

RESHAPER • Firming, Toning & Draining • Eco-designed active ingredient rich in polyphenols of Maca (Lepidium meyenii) obtained from the dried plant using an extraction process that is friendly to both people and the environment. Maca, a Peruvian plant from the High Andes, renowned for its energizing properties, grows on semi-desert conditions on the Andean plateaux; sun and high temperatures during the day, severe frost at night and very strong winds. It is effective against all of the factors that lead to cellulite and unsightly curves:
• In the hypodermis, promotes fat-shedding by stimulating lipolysis and modulating lipogenesis. It boosts energy metabolism of adipocytes, which induces immediate and local oxidation of fatty acids released during lipolysis. Also decreases the orange-peel appearance by reducing fibrosis responsible of the partitioning the adipocytes clusters and caused by local inflammation.
• In the dermis, it stimulates the synthesis of key compounds (collagen I, decorin) that contribute to skin firmness while protecting the extracellular matrix against further degradation.
• MACALINE® provides a draining effect by acting on the key markers that help to maintain proper microcirculation: it reduces vascular permeability, protects vessel walls, etc.

CARNITINE • Metabolizer & Fat burning • Carnitine is a substance that exists naturally in the body and is responsible for fat metabolism. It is necessary as without it our body would not be able to “use” the accumulated fat that serves as “fuel” for normal functioning. L-Carnitine is a derivative of the essential amino acids found in proteins. Basically this substance is synthesised from lysine (essential amino acid). With the help of other amino acids, iron and vitamins such as B3, B6 and C, this substance is transported via the blood to the cellular mitochondria where energy metabolism occurs. If we lack L-Carnitine, our organism can not consume the stored fat and therefore we accumulate an excess of fat.

RUSCUS • Venotonic & Anti-inflammatory • Natural extract rich in ruscogenin, which has a venotonic effect (causing the contraction of blood vessels, increasing firmness of the veins and helping to reduce inflammation), activates microcirculation and facilitates lymphatic and circulatory drainage. It contains steroid saponins, potassium salts, flavonoids, essential oils and resins. It is antiedemic and anti-inflammatory and has an astringent effect.

CAFFEINE • Vasoconstrictor & Antioxidant • Synthetic extract that works on the skin in three principal ways: as a vasoconstrictor, antioxidant, and diuretic. Improves the appearance of dry or damaged skin, reduces flaking and restores flexibility. Activates lipolysis, mobilising accumulated fat.

IVY EXTRACT • Toning & Astringent • Ivy is well known for its toning, astringent and refining properties. Ivy extract has slimming and anti-cellulitic properties, due it preventing the accumulation of water in superficial tissues. It is antibacterial and calming in cases of sunburn. Ivy extract is currently under study for its vasoconstrictor properties due to its vitamin P. Reduces tissue sensitivity, activates circulation, helps reduces local inflammation. It has analgesic and lipolytic properties, favours vascular and lymphatic irrigation and drainage.
